Service for Employees of NCAR/UCAR/UCP
In order to better support your work during the COVID-19 closure, the NCAR Library is offering Contactless Pickup services. You can also email email@example.com to set up an appointment to browse the Library collection in person.
Requesting a Book
Use the NCAR Library Catalog to find the title you need, then either place it on hold or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are having trouble with your library account in Koha, please email email@example.com.
Requests are taken on a rolling basis, but on-site staffing is limited and same-day service is not guaranteed.
- Interoffice mail delivery is available, if you have building access.
- Pickup locations are available at ML, FL2, and CG1, which is a good option for people who do not have building access.
After you send your request, library staff will confirm that the book is available and will email you to arrange the time and location of your pickup. Please follow UCAR health guidelines when picking up materials.
Browsing the Collection
The Library collections are available for in-person browsing by appointment only. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange details.
After you work with a librarian to agree upon a date, time, and location, you will need to arrange for site access through your l/c/p/o administrator. Access can only be approved by HESS, and compliance with their guidelines may take some time. The NCAR Library does not have the ability to sponsor building access.
Please note that we are distributing NCAR Library-owned books only at this time. We are unable to borrow print materials from other libraries until further notice. We are able to request PDFs of articles and book chapters through Interlibrary Loan.
Only Library staff have authorized access to any UCAR library facility.
