Add NCAR to your list of “library links” in Google Scholar. This will allow you to access any journal we subscribe to. 

  • Tip: If you are off campus, you will need to log into your UCAR CIT account.

Instructions

  1. Go to scholar.google.com 
  2. Ensure you are logged in. If not, please log in.
  3. On the left side of the screen, open the menu and select ”Settings.”
  4. From the settings page, select “Library links” in the left menu.
  5. In the search box, search for “National Center for Atmospheric Research.”
  6. Check the box next to “National Center for Atmospheric Research” and click the “Save” button.

You will now see “Get it @ NCAR” links on the right side of search results. Click this link to access the resource.

Accessing Full Text through Google Scholar


When you see your search results, look to the right of the page. 

  • If you see “Get it @ NCAR Library,” click that link to access the full text. 
  • If you don’t see “Get it @ NCAR Library,” the Library probably doesn’t subscribe to the publication.

Don’t pay for full-text access! If you can’t access an article, contact library@ucar.edu; we may be able to obtain it through interlibrary loan.

  • Tip: Use the NCAR Proxy Bookmarklet to bypass paywalls outside of Google Scholar.
