Service for Employees of UCAR/UCP and NSF NCAR

Requesting a Book

Use the NCAR Library Catalog to find the title you need, then either place it on hold or email library@ucar.edu.

If you are having trouble with your library account in Koha, please email library@ucar.edu.

Borrowing Books

All current staff members have borrowing privileges from all locations of the NSF NCAR Library. A self-checkout machine is available at each library location. 

Book Delivery

A librarian can send you a book through interoffice mail delivery. Requests are taken on a rolling basis, but on-site staffing is limited and same-day service is not guaranteed.

Browsing the Collection

The Mesa Lab Library is open to the public for browsing. 

The Foothills Library and the Center Green Library are open to all UCAR/UCP and NSF NCAR staff. 

Returning a Book

To return items to the NSF NCAR Library, use any of the following options:

• Return to the ML Library or FL Library book drop,
• Send via interoffice mail to ML Library or FL Library,
• Send via U.S. Mail to:
  Mesa Lab Library
  3090 Center Green Drive
  Boulder, CO 80301

You do not need to return a book to the location where you borrowed it, if another location is more convenient for you. 

Interlibrary Loan

The NSF NCAR Library is able to borrow materials from other libraries. Please make your request through the Interlibrary Loan form.
